On March 14, 2025, during the official visit of the President of Mongolia to Poland, a ceremony was held to honor individuals who have been recognized for their significant contributions to the establishment, development, and cultivation of friendly relations between Mongolia and Poland.

In acknowledgment of their contributions in this area, the President of Mongolia awarded three current and retired employees from the Department of Turkic Studies and Inner Asian Peoples at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw: Dr. habil. Jerzy Tulisov received the Order of the Polar Star (Алтан гадас одон), Dr. Magdalena Szpindler was presented the Medal of Friendship (Найрамдал медаль), and Mrg Byambaa Raghchaa received the Distinguished Service Award (Хөдөлмөрийн гавъяаны улаан тугийн одон).

We congratulate the honorees and are very pleased that the Mongolian authorities appreciate the contribution of our faculty members to the development of scientific cooperation and the dissemination of knowledge about Mongolia.
