On 20 March, the Department of South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Poland organised a celebration of World Hindi Language Day (Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2025).
The ceremony was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the UW, Prof. Agata Bareja-Starzyńska, and the Ambassador of the Republic of India, Nagma Mohamed Mallick, in the presence of representatives from the fields of diplomacy and science, hailing from various academic centers in Poland. The artistic segment was prepared by Hindi language students from the Department of South Asia – second-year undergraduate and graduate students – under the supervision of Prof. Danuta Stasik, Dr. Aleksandra Turek, and Dr. Justyna Wiśniewska-Singh.
