Music and Missionaries in the Forbidden CityConcert of early modern music at the University of Warsaw
The Faculty of Asian and African Cultures, together with the Ricci Institute at Boston College (USA), extends a warm invitation to all staff and students of the faculty to the concert entitled Music and Missionaries in the Forbidden City. The event is organised as part of the Historical Legacies of Christianity in East Asia: Bridging a New Generation of Scholars and Scholarship workshop held at the University of Warsaw.
The concert programme will feature early modern music performed by European missionaries at the Ming and Qing imperial courts in the Forbidden City in Beijing.
The event will take place on 30 October 2025 from 7.00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Prof. Baszkiewicz Hall at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (University of Warsaw Main Campus).
The event is open to all, but due to limited seating (approximately 120 places), admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
