Zespół Archeoorientalistyki serdecznie zaprasza w najbliższy poniedziałek na seminarium pod tytułem: „Imperium kontratakuje. Czy imperia były, są i będą?”. 

Będziemy rozmawiać o tym, kiedy możemy i czy powinniśmy mówić o imperiach; dlaczego niektóre państwa mimo imperialnych dążeń nie były nimi nazywane?. Dyskusję zainicjują dr hab. Hanna Rubinkowska-Anioł (Afrykanistyka UW) oraz dr Weronika Rokicka (Indologia UW).

The Archaeo-Oriental Studies team cordially invites you to a seminar next Monday entitled: ‘The Empire Strikes Back. Were/are/will there be any empires?’. We will discuss when we can and should talk about empires; why some states, despite their imperial aspirations, were not called so? The discussion will be initiated by Dr Hanna Rubinkowska-Anioł (Chair of African Languages and Cultures) and Dr Weronika Rokicka (Chair of South Asia).
